DESCRIPTION:January 14th Awana\nBlessings Soup Kitchen\nDuring the month of January\, we are collecting nonperishable food items for Blessings Soup Kitchen in Ottumwa. Please consider having your child or children participate in this project to help someone in need in our community.They can bring one item or several. Awana kids will receive 5 AWANA shares to spend in the  AWANA Store for participating. Below is a list of items you can bring that are on the Blessings Soup Kitchen website. \n• Easily opened tops of canned tuna\, chicken\, soup\,\nchili\, fruits\, beans\, spaghetti sauce\, and vegetables\n• Boxed macaroni and cheese\n• Rice\n• Crackers\n• Cooking Oil\n• Coffee\n• Tea\n• Pasta\n• Sugar\n• Flour\n• Hamburger Helper\n• Peanut Butter (without hydrogenated oils)\n• Salt\, pepper\, and spices\n• Cereals (Honeynut Cheerios\, Oatmeal\, Raisin Bran)\n• Supper from 5:30-6:00 pm\n• Awana time 6:00-8:00 pm \n  \n“AWANA”\nAWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed ( 2 Timothy 2:15 ). The goal of AWANA is to reach elementary-age students for Christ\, to train them to understand and rightly handle the Word of truth\, to love Him\, and to love others\, all in a context of fun and excitement.
