SUMMARY:2026 OCC Vacation Bible School
DESCRIPTION:This year\, OCC’s Vacation Bible School is called “Keepers of the Kingdom”.\nIt is for ages pre-k through 6th grade. We ask that preschoolers be potty-trained. \nWe are engaged in an epic battle for the hearts and minds of our youth.\nEvery day\, they’re bombarded with lies about who they are\, who their Creator is\, and where their salvation comes from.\nThankfully\, God has given his children armor to wear in this battle between truth and lies\, light and darkness\, good and evil. \nWith this VBS\, your kids will learn how they can be part of God’s kingdom through salvation\nin his Son and will be equipped with the armor of God to become Keepers of the Kingdom and stand strong in today’s battle for truth. \n  \nVBS runs June 14-18 (Sunday-Thursday) from 5:30 pm – 8 pm.\nWe will also have snacks\, games\, and crafts. \nFor more information about OCC’s Vacation Bible School\, please text Olivia Bennett at 641-682-8923 or contact her through Facebook.

Though our viewpoint is distorted\, the Bible gives us perfect wisdom and can change our lives.\nYOUTH/ADULT: “Live Not By Lies” by Rod Dreher (A Manual For Christian Dissidents) / John Trucano\nThe New York Times bestselling author of The Benedict Option draws on the wisdom of Christian survivors of Soviet persecution to warn American Christians of approaching dangers. \nFor years\, émigrés from the former Soviet bloc have been telling Rod Dreher they see telltale signs of “soft” totalitarianism cropping up in America–something more Brave New World than Nineteen Eighty-Four. Identity politics is beginning to encroach on every aspect of life. Civil liberties are increasingly seen as a threat to “safety”.
